Ring Tester Large
The ibg Ring Tester Large is designed for automated crack inspection of bearing inner and outer rings with diameters of 45 - 100 mm. The system performs a structure analysis, followed by a line-scan examination of the raceways and both the inner and outer diameter, powered by the eddyvisor C. Following inspection, components are automatically classified and sorted into OK and NOK. The testing unit is mounted on a robust metal frame suited for industrial production environments, with integrated space for the steel cabinets housing the measurement instruments and PLC (incl. Siemens SPS).

Principle of Operation
Clean, upright components are separated, fed into a transport wheel, and accelerated into rotation via belts. At the test station, adjustable rollers provide lateral fixation while the probes scan for surface defects, after which parts are automatically sorted into OK and NOK. Prior to testing, rings must be free of particles and dripping fluid. The setup follows ibg's good-part-only principle, while NOK masters are reserved exclusively for verifying detection performance during trials. Infeed height at 1550 mm, outlet height at 1220 mm.
