eddyQlab Ai VL: Innovative Lab Solution for Predicting Case Depth and Hardness on Induction Hardened Parts

The eddyQlab Ai VL is the next-generation lab solution for CV joints. It predicts the surface hardness and case depth in a non-destructive way, based on Ai and Machine Learning. It offers a semi-automated solution with one-button handling and can test up to 8 pre-defined positions. The eddyQlab Ai VL predicts the case depth and surface hardness at the stem of the CV joint. the bell's structure can be tested with an optional ID coil (no Ai prediction).

eddyQlab Ai VL Test Unit

The Test Unit of the eddyQlab Ai VL features a space-saving tower design and is easy to operate via a single button. The CV joint to be tested and the reference part are positioned on the base plate. By pressing start, two coils move over the pre-defined positions of the CV joints‘ stem. The results of the test are ready in less than one minutes and displayed on the adjacent screen.

eddyQlab Ai VL Control Unit

The Control Unit of the eddyQlab AI VL houses a powerful PC by Beckhoff, including the Ai Software. It can be stored under the lab table. To facilitate maintenance, the unit is ready for remote support.

FAQ eddyQlab Ai VL

The eddyQlab Ai VL is the ideal non-destructive lab solution for predicting the case depth and hardness of CV joints. The CV joints are positioned vertically (VL-vertical large) on the base plate of the Test Unit.

CV joints of a shaft length of max. 550 mm, a max. shaft diameter of 145 mm and a bell diameter of max. 55 mm can be tested using the eddyQlab Ai VL.

The VL stands for “vertical large”, which indicates the direction of movement of the coils on the test unit.
